Uh oh! What happened?

The kiddos vocab continues to expand at a fast pace and we have quite a few conversations happening between the kids now. Some you can understand and some not so much. :) I thought I would get down some of their favorite sayings lateley. Hailey leads the group in the vocab and actually saying sentences. She is just on a roll and is continuously talking. She loves to say - Uh oh! What happened? (Wonder where she got that from. Ha Ha), Thank You, You're welcome. The other day Connor got hurt and she went up to him and asked, "Connor, you okay?"
Connor is probably next in line and is a little parrot and will repeat everything you say. I think he will be the next saying full sentences. Dylan and Brooklyn are right there with them and their vocabulary continues to increase as well. Brooklyn loves to tell me when something "its stuck".

We've been having alot of fun outside. Heres a few pics.

This picture is from a year ago

This was the best I could do this year. Connor would sit on the swing just fine until I pointed the camera at them. Dylan had to have my sunglasses to sit still.

Creating some fine art on our cement wall outside

"I think this pink would look lovely with the green on the wall."

We ended up with a lot of colorful lines on our wall. =)

On another day the sprinklers left a little pool of water, which of course the boys found.

Braken Bird Farm

Last Friday we took the kids to Brakens Bird Farm. They have a large variety of birds and an outdoor atrium where they birds fly free around you and a little pond/waterfall that runs through the middle. They also have a few different animals outside - turkeys, goats, oxen, and some cockatiels. The kids love to see the birds when we go on our walks and point them out in the trees outside the kitchen window, so I thought they would like the bird farm. I wish I had gotten video of Connor when we saw the Macaws. He was so excited at first and talking and pointing to it until it squawked. He jumped in my arms and looked away shyly. He was looking at the bird again, it squawked again, he jumped again and then he almost started to cry and wanted to walk away. Poor little guy. I think Brooklyn just liked the opportunity to try and run away in a new place. Hailey was interested in everything and Dylan wanted to chase the turkeys. They didnt allow pictures in the atrium, so we got a few inside the store and outside.

Hi birdie, birdie!

Mothers Day

I had a wonderful and busy but relaxing Mothers Day. First, Brian got up with the kids for the second day in a row. (Saturdays are usually his day to get up with them and I get to sleep in a little) Then Brittney took me out to breakfast while Brian watched the kiddos at home and then I got to spend some quiet time reading a book before going home and helping get lunch for the little ones.

Brittney and Me

We then had plans to go over to my sisters house to have lunch with my mom. My sister Amy runs a day care out of her house so the kiddos had a great time playing with her toys and equipment outside while we visited with family inside. My sister Jen, brother Rob and their families were not there. Missed you guys!

After visiting with my mom and family we met up with Brians mom and family at a park down the road from my sisters house. I really thought we were going to spend most of the time chasing down the wandering little ones, but they were very content to play on the playground and with the toys that were brought. Once again thanks goes out to Beth and Brittney for helping keep track of them. We had bar-b-que for dinner and had a great time with family.

All Growed Up! Prom '09

Our little Britt has grown up into a BEAUTIFUL young woman!!!! Her Prom was this past Saturday. She went with her boyfriend Jake and a few friends. Her and Jake have been together for two years now. WOW! Although a steady boyfriend is not what we had originally wanted for her in high school, we could not have asked for a better guy for her at this time of her life. (We will see what the future holds.) We are just so proud of Brittney and all she is doing and the person she is becoming.
